ISLAND 2013 THEME: Starts Jan 11, 2013:

Expected to run through February 1st. There are some old things from the 2011 Island theme and some new stuff (including a new strain, Banana Kush). This was Discussed here.

SEEDS: Banana Kush is on the gift page (but the 4x,9x,20 are not sharing yet.) See Banana Kush Awards on the AWARD PAGE. Pineapple Express may be added to the gift page, but probably not until next week.

Sacchariferous is back in the store to help with quests. It gives 12 sugar cane (NOT 24 as the text description states).

I've been bugging the devs about bringing back the Buzzed Hawaiian Beaver (super cool Pineapple Express Repeater) and the Dozy Rasta Bunny (50 pro on 0 spaces). It sounds like we MAY start seeing them beginning Monday.

TOUCAN QUESTS and Tropical Mystery Eggs:

Quests released on January 18th calling for different toucans. Earn Hydro Volcanos which are multi-upgrade hydros.

Players level 35+ can buy tropical mystery eggs for $9 pot bucks each from the egg icon with a question mark in the lower left corner of the game. The purchase also gets you 10,000xp. Build the mystery eggs with 5 Feathers, 5 Generators and 1 High Output Lamp each. Get 3 helpers and it turns into one of the following toucans. Note: All toucans give 100xp when you collect (except for the Fancy Albino, which gives 1000xp.) None offer the chance to share.

• Albino Toucan gives 4x Banana Kush every 5 hours: Sells for 50,000 coins.
• Red Toucan gives 1x Feathers every 2 hours: Sells for 10,000 coins.
• Blue Toucan gives 4x Pineapple Express every 5 hours. Sells for 20,000 coins.
• Tall Black Toucan gives 9x Pineapple Express every 45 minutes. Sells for 60,000 coins.
• Tall Albino Toucan gives 1x Surprise Seed every 12 hours: Sells for only 1 coin.
• Tall Orange Toucan gives 1x Feathers every 6 hours: Sells for only 1 coin.
• Fat Albino Toucan gives 1x Guano every 20 minutes: Sells for only 1 coin.
• Fat Green Toucan gives 9x Banana Kush every 45 minutes: Sells for only 1 coin.
• Fat Purple Toucan gives 1x Feathers every 30 minutes: Sells for only 1 coin.
• Fancy Albino Toucan gives 1x Mystery Seed every 8 hours: Sells for only 1 coin.
• Fancy Orange Toucan gives 1x Surprise Seed every 30 minutes: Sells for only 1 coin.
• Fancy Teal Toucan gives 1x Feathers every 10 minutes: Sells for only 1 coin.

Tropical mystery eggs only produce the above four twelve toucans. Pictures you may see of Green "Pineapple Hat" Toucans were just a joke and do not actually exist in the game.

(Nothing definite, but it sounds like the toucan quests will all be extended through February 1st.)

NOTE: To move very far in Mighty Fire God quest chain, you need 2 each of the 3 fat. For the Floyd Vs Volcano chain, you need 2 each of the tall. And for the super hydro bonus quest, you need 1 each of the fancy.

JAN 25 UPDATE:

20 NEW QUESTS just released (non-egg related). They are extensions of the "main" and "support" chains. Also, "Nudist" Pothead Crowds, Seagulls (feather repeater), Mellow Monkey (Banana Kush repeater), and more! Toucan quests extended to run through Feb 1st.

FEB 1 UPDATE:

CRATES ARE BACK: 3 varities available through Monday. (Actually, it's 2 varieties: Tropical Crate (100,000 coins) and Super Tropical Crate, but the Super Tropical can be purchased for $6 pb or 1M coins.) Discuss what you got! They were expecting some new quests, but I'm now told it's just the crates until next week. (Then the new theme.)
