Follow Guru Steve @potfarminfoPot Farm shut down Dec 11, 2019 at 4pm PST.
Due partly to the upcoming change away from flash and the fact that the game was no longer profitable, the developers sadly decided to end the game. Cash purchases were turned off November 13 and the game was shut down on December 11, 2019. See also their video announcement of shutdown and announcement on their Facebook page. Themes in Pot Farm: (Select a theme from this list)

MUSIC THEME: June 20 - July 19, 2013
This theme was discussed here.
The music theme is expected to run from June 20 through July 19, 2013. (BEING EXTENDED TO SUNDAY 7/21, with one new quest chain, "Feeding the Band", going through WEDNESDAY 7/24.)
Each week will bring new quests based on a different genre of music. The first week was Rock and Roll. The second is Hip Hop. The third will be Reggae and 4th will be Metal. See MUSIC QUESTS, THEME INFO, and AWARDS (trophies).
Weedstock will be the seasonal strain for the whole theme. (It was originally listed as 22 days in the store and for gifting, but both have now been fixed to end on July 19.)
NOTICE THE TIME FRAME LISTED FOR EACH QUEST CHAIN! Two chains run for 7 days, one runs for 11 days, and one runs for 29 days. More are expected each week with a new music genre focus.
Groupies are a new "product' which come from quests or the Flaming Guitar repeater earned in one of the music theme quests. (The old "groupie crowds" from the RockStar theme have been renamed "rock n roll crowds" to prevent confusion.) Two new groupie repeaters added to the game on 6/27: Puggalo and Breakdancer. Get them from new quests.
Some quests ask you to SELL GROUPIES. However, in the gift box, the only option is USE. To sell them, you need to use them from your gift box. That will put them in your stash. Then, you can sell them from there.
YOU CAN MOVE THE STAIRWAY! People are reporting a problem moving the Stairway to Heaven (quest prize) once they've placed it on their farm. See this ILLUSTRATION showing where to grab it to move it easily.
OG KUSH is required for the support chain of quests. It comes from surprise seeds and repeaters. OG Kush was sharing surprise seeds, but on 6/21 they fixed it so it shares more OG Kush!
Ol' Smokey is a new plant available only from Mystery Seeds. It comes in 2 versions: 4x and 9x.
6/21: Weedstock added to mystery seeds.
6/21: Limited time FIRE! quests added. Now expired. See MUSIC QUESTS.
6/27: The next genre has been added to the music theme. Hip Hop is in da house! See complete quest details and look at the bottom of this page to see all the new items.
6/28: As guessed, the Fire chain of quests came back through Monday at 5pm pacific time. (Hopefully we'll see it return each weekend of theme.)
7/5: The next genre of the music theme (Reggae) is here, along with new MUSIC QUESTS. See below for a complete explanation of how the stage upgrades work.
7/5: The Fire chain has returned. It runs from July 5 - July 7 (midnight pacific time). No new quests have been added to this chain this week.
The fourth and final genre of the music theme (metal) released on Friday, July 12.
7/17: Feeding the Band chain added and runs through next Wednesday 7/24.
7/19: All metal quest chains were extended to run through Sunday 7/21. The "Fire!" chain returned for the weekend. Making the Band quest chain will run through Wednesday 7/24.

From the devs, regarding their comment about getting "band members"...
Each week we unlock a new upgrade for the stage (One Man Band). Each new upgrade adds a member to the band. NOTE: 1000 groupies sounds like a lot for the upgrade, but we get LOTS of groupies in the new quests along with groupie repeaters!
WEEK ONE: ROCK N ROLL
Get the Trashed Stage in a Music Theme quest. Build it with 100 groupies (from gifts or quests) to get the Repaired Stage (which does nothing). Build again with 3 helpers to get the One Man Band. One Man Band is a variable contraption that gives out different amounts of 1x weedstock & OG kush in 90 minutes. It takes in a pizza. NOTE: You can store the STAGE while waiting to collect the groupies you need to build it.
