Due partly to the upcoming change away from flash and the fact that the game was no longer profitable, the developers sadly decided to end the game. Cash purchases were turned off November 13 and the game was shut down on December 11, 2019. See also their video announcement of shutdown and announcement on their Facebook page. SUPERHERO THEME: May 24 - June 17, 2013:

We got 2 new strains of weed (Super Bud and Mutant X), superhero critters, contraptions, and a new hydro!

Radiation is a premium product (kinda like cig butts, tunes and nuts). You can only get it from the Gamja Ray Gun repeater or through quests. You need it to run Dr. Furious (contraption) which gives theme weed and Hot Plate Man (contraption) which gives Puff Puff. It's also a building ingredient for the Shielded Airship, a new multi-level hydro. The devs have said they'll add more quests to earn Radiation later in the theme.
There was a problem upgrading the Airship Hydro that should now be fixed. However, if you want to upgrade something, be sure you don't place it on the bottom row. The trees will block the upgrade button. Devs know and are working in a fix to trim the trees.

5/29: "Rad Dumper" SUPERHERO QUESTS added. Earn up to 75 radiation!
5/31: New "Evacuation" quests just released (NOW EXPIRED). See the QUEST PAGE!
TIPS: Run the contraptions first. (I got the 100x mutant x that I needed from running Dr Furious.) Plant mystery seeds! That's the only place to get Radioactive Tomatoes. Radioactive Tomatoes give you 100xp and Radiation when you harvest. Like all plants, when you harvest, the radiation goes to your stash, not your gift box. Also, 100x Mutant X is now coming up from mystery seeds.
Note: The newsfeed collection limits reset at 10pm PDT, an hour before the Evacuation quests end, so you may be able to get some more mystery seeds from the news feed.
My personal experience: After using about 600 mystery seeds to finish all but one of the evacuation quests, I had only 3 of the 15 rad maters need for the last one. I was going to give up. I hit PFManager and scored 100 mystery seeds! Out of those, I only got TWO more of the rad maters. Again, thinking of quitting. I sold off some of the PB plants I'd earned with the previous 600 mystery seeds and bought one pack of 50 mystery seeds and got 3 more maters. Another pack and got another 3, and a third and got SEVEN (with 9 ms left to spare. I had been getting a lot of pb plants, so I didn't mind reinvesting. It's just 15 potlucks, but still, it's fun to finish them. I was skeptical about the idea of getting more radioactive tomatoes when you have some on your farm, but there MAY be something to it!
How to get DR FURIOUS or HOT PLATE MAN:
There seems to be confusion about how to get these. They are simply quest prizes. (See the quest list to see what quests allow you to earn them.) To use them for the new Evacuation quests, you need to earn them, put them on your farm and then click on them to "run". Make sure you have all the required ingredients in your STASH (not gift box).
Gamja Ray Gun radiation repeater collection time reduced from 24 hours to 12 hours!
6/3: Flash Bud (now expired) replaced Super Bud in the store for a day and a half. It was a 30 SECOND GROW TIME version of super bud. Prices were the same. (This didn't change any repeaters.)
6/4: Two new chains of SUPERHERO QUESTS added: SUPER CARS and SMASH!
TIP: Hold off until the end of the theme before starting to upgrade your Airship Hydro. You'll need the Radiation for other quests. You can earn more with the Gamja Ray Guns for the Airship later.
6/7: THEME EXTENDED! This theme was set to expire on Friday 6/14, but was extended to run through Monday 6/17 at midnight (pacific time).
6/14: TWO NEW SUPERHERO QUEST CHAINS ADDED! "Final Fight" and "Craps Creek". Also, the "Evacuation" chain has returned. See SUPERHERO QUESTS.
The Superhero Theme ended (Monday 6/17, at midnight pacific time.) We're expecting a couple days off before the next theme. If all goes as planned, we should have a new theme on Thursday or Friday. No word yet on what that will be. (It will NOT be the Fairy Tale theme that's been discussed recently.)
